Lost Birth Certificate

Good day everyone.

I would just like to make an inquiry on how to get another copy of my birth certificate. Nawala ko po kasi.
I was born in Pasay, 1988. Pero currently residing here in the province.

Would somebody please advise me on the steps to take to obtain a copy of the said birth certificate? Pwede po ba mag obtain nun online? 

Ive tried requesting for the NSO authenticated copy pero kasi nagkakaproblem po dahil malabo yung printout sa NSO that's why everytime I present yung NSO Copy, they still require me the original copy.
